Friday's Adventures

So today was probably the longest day of school ever. It took forever for it to end it was crazy. But it did fnally end and that was exciting because it is a three day weekend. Yes!!! I have had three weeks of school this year and I am already done. But that wasn't the worst part of the day. It was when my mom sent me and Shelbi on an errand to go to a Target to pick up something from my mom's friend Lisa Geiser. Well we got lost because we listened to the GPS, weird huh? Well we did finally get there after an agrument on the phone between my sister and my mom while I was getting directions on a different phone. It was and interesting afternoon but when we got there we was a couple whose car had boken down we think from a dead battery so we gave them a jump. Well if we had not gotten lost or had just gone home we wouldn't have been able to help them so I guess that we are really put in these positions and places for a reason and we need to decide whether we are going to do the right thing or not. There is always an opportunity to do good we just need to look for them. After all the frustration and anger because we really had known how to get there but had wrong directions, we discovered why we had to go though all of it to be put in a situation where we were given the opportunity of giving service to others who were having a worse day than we were. They had been there for a while and people had just kept driving by and not even noticing that they needed help because they either didn't care or they didn't "have time". When these choices are laid out in front of you, you choose which one you take and pray it was the right one. But which one do you know is right and which one are you trying to justify? This is what you really should be asking yourself when you happen into situations like this. Just remember we are not here to justify the wrongs, we are here to make right what's wrong.

How I Feel About This Week

So on Friday night me and Shelbi and our friends Kristen and Jessica Temple went and chalked people's driveways. We did get caught once but not the second time. It was almost successful but we did get caught eventually when they found out who it was. It was a lot of fun but we got really dirty and hot from all the running. So on Saturday night we went to Paseo Verde Park and watched people go down a giant slip and slide that was put on a hill but we were standing in grass for about an hour and now I have ant bites everywhere. I am itchy and I have bumps that are big and red. So for tomorrow....School. What a surprise. And the next day...School. And the next day and for the rest of my life!!!! I'm not irritated or anything at all. I love being told what to do for seven hours out of the day everyday while they try to put things in my head but are unsuccessful and then they wonder why our grades are so bad. I mean seriously, how are we supposed to learn when we have to be there for seven hours at a time and we have to get up early? Really? But I do give the teachers a lot of credit because teenagers are gross and weird. We are disrespectful and rude but they try and teach us anyway. Those are some serious brownie points right there. But this Friday we are planning some serious action!!!! we are going to do something really fun this weekend not just sit around asking each other what you want to do. You know that scene. So if you were wondering about my day here it is. I went to church and it was crowded because we had a missionary farewell and everybody and their dog came to see it. Then I went to Sundayschool with Shelbi and Hilary and we ate candy the whole time and then I went to young womens and got more candy. It was a good day. I always like Sundays but today was especially good. About tomorrow, I'm not so sure how good that will be but I'm sure there will be something interesting.

First Week of Exhaustion Begins.

OK so this last week was my first week back at school for my sophomore year. I am very tired and very bored with school. It isn't very fun to me but I like some of my classes like dance and ASL. They are very entertaining. So I learned that all but one of my friends that I hang out with, have the lunch after me so me and Tanna wander around just the two of us. She is convinced that we are outcasts but really we don't hang out with anybody our age, they are all older than us so we just don't see them alot during the school year. When I get up my day goes like this: Get up 4:50, get ready 5:00-5:50, Seminary 6:00-6:50, 6:50 -7:20 get to school, 7:20-2:20 (school which is 1st hour ASL, 2nd hour English II H, 3rd hour lunch, 4th hour Geometry, 5th hour a days ADV Dance or Building trades. 2:20 -2:30 go home.) Next day: Repeat. It's an endless cycle that only lets up on weekends and holidays. So I do not think I will be a very good blogger for a while. Maybe, maybe not it all depends on homework and time. So with that I bid you Adieu (for now anyways)

Thoughtfulness.

Well, I have allowed myself to fall behind on my blogging. I deemed this okay because I said I haven't done anything interesting but really, that's not the point of my blog. It's learning to recognize the small things that make life worth while, to recognize all the good things we have and helping others who maybe don't have as much. It sounds really cliche but it's true. On the surface it may seem so unimportant but the rewards to you are innumerable and to them, it is impossible to describe the gratitude they feel towards you. What I have realized is that no matter how bad your day is there is always something good, something to be thankful for. You should always try and do your best to be your best. It's not about being perfect but doing all you can to get there. Learning that mistakes and imperfections are a part of life, you grow and become better through the faults you have and the wrongs you make. By doing my best I have learned that it's not about all the great things you do in life but by putting all the small things together that make a great accomplishment and the purpose of living. Something so small can seem so amazing and rewarding just because it's your own miracle that no one really knows about. To me a great accomplishment is finishing your homework, or winning a game of monopoly. Something that doesn't seem inportant seems to mark the path in our lives and help us get where we are ultimately going.
