Scrapbooking Adventures

Today we went to my mom's friends house. (Her name is Lisa) She is the queen of scrapbooking, you can ask anybody. (She really is that great) Well we went there to finish a few things which we did accoplish today. While we were at her house, her youngest son(I'm not sure how to spell his name) came home and got a fruit roll-up and a bowl of popcorn a very healthy lunch indeed. Anyways, immediately after getting lunch, he plopped down onto the computer and started taking pictures of himself with these weird effects. It was really entertaining to watch. He then went on to tell us that he didn't like music. He was really animated about the whole thing and told us to turn off the music. We just kind of laughed but then he told us again to turn it off and it surprised me how serious he was. (He is only five years old by the way) During this whole thing, we managed to run out of glue so my mom told us to go to the store to get gluesticks. So we agreed to go under some conditions(I get a large drink of Coke from McDonalds) And His mom told us to get him a doughnut. A chocolate one with no sprinkles. She said this really quiet but in the next second you could hear him yelling "I want sprinkles!!!!" So we got him a chocolate one with sprinkles and he was overjoyed. It is so easy to please him.

Splish Splash I was Taking a Bath...

So today we continued painting since we didn't paint yesterday because it was Sunday. Well I was painting for a while and my sister comes in and she helps and then my mom leaves to go shopping with my brother. Well when moms not there, nothing really gets done, right? Wrong we finished a lot and we told her that over the phone and she didn't believe us. Hmmm... I wonder why? Maybe it's because normally we don't do the things we are supposed to. That would explain the mistrust. (My sister was appalled over this little incident) Before the phone call between my mother and sister, My Grandma called (we call her Gogo) and said she wanted us to come over to swim. We agreed to go when we were finished painting but when my mom called she said we had to wait for my brother to get back and not just leave before they get home. Well we did wait and when we got to the pool, he was almost successful in drowning my sister. (just kidding. but she was gasping for air when he let her out of the water) I learned that water looks very innocent and fun but it has a vicious side. I also learned that when you can't hear because of altitude change, it hurts when you go under water. (My ears are still out of whack from my trip to Colorado) Well when we came home from swimming, I proceeded to take a shower and do absolutely nothing. Well, I learned that you shouldn't take a shower unless you are absolutely sure you are done painting for the day. (I got paint in my hair after I just took a shower) This was my experience with bath time for today.

The Wonders of Finger Painting

Yesterday, after I successfully made my blog(Yay!!!) I did absolutely nothing. My day proceeded to include nothing so I decided to help my family paint my sister's room asparagus green. As I was painting I realized how much I miss finger painting. It was so easy and there were no guidelines and it could be as messy as you wanted. Man those were the days... Making the whole house a mess and not having to clean it up; yeah, I miss that. Anyways, her room is bright green but I can't say much because mine is bright pink. While painting we got paint everywhere, in our hair, on our clothes, just everywhere and it was a mess. But it was fun because the whole time we were making fun of my dad's jokes. I love my dad but some of his jokes are really not funny. They are more like 'I'm laughing because I can't believe how bad that was.' I love you Daddy!!!!! <3>

So... How was your summer?

This summer I have been gone a lot. My first little adventure was at Girls Camp the Friday after school let out. Unfortunately, on May 16, one of my friends past away due to an off-roading accident. This made my Girls camp experience a little bit difficult but in the end it was worth going. After Girls camp, my summer was a little slow for a few weeks but on June 16, I left for EFY or Especially For Youth. This was one of my greatest summer experiences. Not only do you get to meet new and great people, but you get to experience a connection between them because they maintain the same standards and it is easier to be yourself around them. This connection creates a bond between the youth. EFY is a week long and during that suprisingly short week, you participate in classes and service projects as well as dances and programs where you meet new people and learn about the Church. After my EFY experience I was home for on day then I left for California to camp on the beach for a week. During that week I got a serious sunburn which eventually turned into a tan after I was peeling for about a week. My family went to the beach with our neighbors, the Browns, and one of my sister's friends named Kristen. We also brought my sister Heather, who currently lives in Tucson with her husband David. They were married on April 12, 2008 in The Mesa, Arizona Temple. Also there at the beach was the Colyar family who had been there two weeks before we got there. At the beach I boogie boarding and we built sand castles. After my beach adventure I was home for a few weeks and then I left with the Browns to go to Colorado for a week and I just got back yesterday at about two in the morning. In Colorado We went to purgatory on Monday, River rafting on Tuesday, We spent the day at a lake on Wednesday, and on thursday we just stayed at the campsite. (oh yeah, did I mention we were camping?) We left Thursday night which is why I got home so late or early I guess. A few minutes after I got home my sister came home with her friends who had gone to see the new Batman movie at midnight. So her friends spent the night and we never went to sleep so at about 6:40 in the morning we went to QT to get drinks. Earlier in the week I discovered that I had a sleeping problem because the only night I slept good was the one where I took tylenol PM for my "back pain". So yesterday I had been awake for over 24 hours which left me a whiny mess for my mom.
